One Wall showing as transparent in Elevations and 3D

Hi,

I have checked previous posts to no avail.

There is one wall in our model that is showing up as transparent, in both Elevation and 3D.

All other walls of the same wall type appear as solid. I suspect there is something up with the Object because this this is happening in multiple views.

I have checked:

- Visibility Graphics

- Creating a new view

- Object Styles

- Phase Filters

- Material Settings

- Checking Paint (cannot paint new material on surface)

- Match Properties

- De-selecting "Use Hardware Acceleration"

- CAD imports (none in the model)

- Cut & Paste in place

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Try deleting the wall and placing a new wall. Does the new wall stay transparent? ( You can just do this a a test and the Undo to previous state.)

The new wall does not stay transparent.

OK--problem solved?

I think perhaps the old wall had a transparency override applied to it.

Delete the view and re-create - normally that will lose the nastiness.

I suppose re-building the wall is an option, though a real pain!

Where would you think there is a transparency override?

This problem appears to be assigned to the object rather than the view because it appears in multiple views.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried that and it did not work.

Is there a view template associated with the view? Try removing that.

OK--to avoid re-creating it:

Can you copy the wall and place it a few feet away, then delete the transparent wall, and then move the copy into place?

Does the copied wall stay transparent?

Not sure about the transparency problem with the original wall.

OK, I copied the wall, and the copied wall also stays transparent.

I have removed the view template, and tried a different one, and the wall remains transparent with each.

Check the Phase of the wall, and then check Manage Tab>Phasing>Phase Graphic Overrides>Material

The phase of the wall is consistent with all other walls, set to "New Construction".

I think I will just re-create the wall.

Thanks for the suggestions!

From your post,if I get it correctly, you are telling that you can't add paint layer on surface of that wall.

that means that it's already painted.

Why not try to remove the paint.

Hi

Change that wall to other wall type,

if it stills stays transparent, then there's a material applied which you need to remove..

Even after that if it stays transparent, then probably you need to check the

filters in that view..

Cheers

I had the same issue when viewing my kitchen 3d in a realistic graphic view. After checking all the different settings possible I unchecked the phase created on that wall, it was saying it was created in a new phase, changed it to existing and the wall went solid. :lächelndes_Gesicht_mit_lächelnden_Augen:

For anyone else you landed this far down the rabbit hole, I too tried almost everything, but toggling the wall's Phase Created parameter to Existing and then back to New Construction seemed to have reset the graphics.

Interestingly, even in a case of an unpainted wall, adding paint and removing it seems to work as well.
