Hello,
I would like to be able to see different grids when I am viewing on different scales? Basically make their visibility status scale based.
For instance I have many grids in a project but not all of them are important to see when I am on scale of 1:200 but some other grids get important when I am on 1:50 or 1:25 scale for detailing.
Is it possible to on/off grid's visibility base on view scale?

How I'll do it by using Filters and View Templates:

I made a mistake in my previous post :
in second row, read Selection Set instead of Section Set..

No way I can think of to do this based on scale exclusively. Closest thing that comes to mind would be to make some View Filters that look for a parameter in the grid and align the filters to scale related View Templates.
Something like
Grids have parameter "See at Scale" set to "Coarse", "Medium", "Fine"
View Template for 1:200 has View Filter that hides any Grid with "Fine" or "Medium" in "See at Scale"
View Template for 1:50 has View Filter that only hides "Fine"
View Template for 1:25 has no View Fitler so you see them all
I usually don't like locking View Template to scale, but sometimes it's useful.
Thank you both, for replying so promptly and taking your time!!
I am working in a similar way already. Have created different grid families and using different view templates.
I was just wondering if there is any way to work with the grids base on the "view scales", likewise the Sections which have a parameter called "Hide at scales coarser than".
Thank you, once again ![]()
