offset reference point - change the direction of the offset

Hi everyone,

I 'm modeling this family and i need to create a reference point with a height from the reference point of the line.

I create the instance height h7.b and add from the offset window.

Now the offset point made it goes on the horizontal line (red arrow), I need to change it to the vertical plan (blue arrow)

How can i do that?

<thanks,

Gm

You need to associate it to another parameter that returns a NEGATIVE value  by way of a simple forumla (=-distance).

Also, Ref. Points can be Rotated. Have you looked into a 180 Rotation?

The hosted RP remains in the POSITIVE direction (Offset) from its Host.

Yes, I tried with rotation parameters and invert but it doesn't solve the issue.

The thing I guess is that the host has to be changed and I don't know how to do it...

Also when I check the host of the reference point the plane is the correct vertical one (picture) where the offset is supposed to be done.

Thank you,

I've tried as well with a new negative parameter but it remains on the same host.

Hard for me to follow a screenshot of a non-English UIs, so I don't understand what you are pointing out to me in it. Can you try explaining to me one more time what it is that you are trying to do?

Hi and sorry for the misunderstood,

I need to give to the selected reference point an offset parameter following the blue arrow direction.

thank you

. Share the family . Not really clear, is your direction line same as the green one or pointing at the blue one upward...?
