Occupancy Load Calculation

Very often, we add occupancy loads calculation to the room schedule; The room schedule only provides net area of each room, while IBC 1004.1.2 occupant load factor lists gross area for most types of space . How do you solve the issue - how to bring the gross area of each room to do the calculation?

Instead of Rooms, use Areas. The reason is that what matters is the area per type of occupancy. If five adjacent rooms are classified as Business, in the Area Plan you use one area that encloses all five rooms.
