Hello everyone!
I'm semi new to using Autodesk Revit. I've ran into a problem where some of the objects in my plan view are turning white. Everything in the hidden line view looks fine, but when I turn the view to shaded or realistic, some objects stay like it's in the hidden line view. A week ago these objects weren't doing this and now they are. Any clue?
Those families have masking regions for plan presentation and the actual 3d geometries are turned off for such views. You can either create 3D top views, or open the families and fix them so that they show the true 3d with materials on plan views.
How would I go about fixing them if you don't mind a more in depth explanation? I know a decent amount on this program but this is completely new to me.
New to Revit? Here's some information that may help you regarding Visibility Settings in Families. Note, that element Visibility can be controlled, not only by View (i.e. Plan, Elevation, etc.), but also by View Detail Level (e.g. Course Medium, Fine). So basically, through these settings, you can have you cake and eat it too. For instance, you can have a Masking Region representing the toilet visible only in Plan View Course Detail Level, and the toilet geometry visible only in Plan View Medium and Fine Detail Levels.

...here; compare the Visibility Settings of this Toilet-Domestic-3D_bb.rfa to that of the OOTB Toilet-Domestic-3D.rfa.
The visibility settings for both toilets are the exact same. However, the download link you provided me with made the toilet display normally. Anything you can possibly think of further?
Open the family > open a 3d view > select the 3d geometry and click Visibility/Graphic button from properties > tick Plan/RCP box, tick Coarse, Medium, Fine boxes.
In the same family > Open a plan view > select the masking region and tick Visible box from properties.
Load it back in you project.
by chance, does your Toilet family have nested components in it? Those nested components also have Visibility Settings that can differ from the host family.
BTW: did you read the information I posted about Visibility Settings?
