Objects aren't visible

I'm trying to add columns to this specific B1 plan but this error shows up and therefore im not able to see the object that I placed.However,if  I switch to 3d view im able to see the colunn I added.How can I solve this.I hope you can help.Thanks.

Columns are placed downwards hence outside the view range....before placing look up at the contextual tab and change depth to height

Hi  thanks for the reply when I change depth to height im able to place and see  the column but that's not what I want like it becomes like this.When I do it depth it becomes what I want but again cant see it on floor plan.

Either activate the underlay and set it to level below (this way u can place using g depth and see them)

Or Change the view range so that when it places using depth u would be able to see it (ie: negative offset for view bottom and depth)...MAKE SURE

OR go on the level below and place it using height
