Hi all,
I am preparing detail design documentation. I want to dispaly the column, even if hidden projection, by a thicker line.
I did my change in object style>structural column>hidden line.
The printpout is correct but the diplaying is incorrect. Using the comand TL the line weight is not displayed properly.
Do you know why?
Check your line weight settings for the scale of your view...If the scale is not listed it uses the next scale up.
Sounds logical but not plausible if Revit is WYSIWYG printing. No?
...I have no idea what's going on.
Hi
Thanks both for answear.
I have tried to change the discipline from Structural to Architectural, and use the command Show hidden lines.
In this way the override works properly in TL viasualization.
But in this way I totally miss the advantages to use the discipline show hidden lines proprierty.
How come?
For printing....check your line weight settings for a 1:75 view and pen #10.
As for what it is on screen...yeah, weird. Maybe it is a graphics card issue keeping the line weight smaller...
It's not clear to me what the issue is. I thought the issue was that the print preview was not the same as the screen display. If so, that's very odd.
Now you are asking about Hidden Line by Discipline in general. I think you may be missing the fact that By Discipline value also ensures that the view displays hidden lines specified using the Show Hidden Lines by Element tool on the View tab.
The issue is: in both case of discipline the hidden line printout is OK. The problem is in visulization on screen. With structural, the hidden lines are NOT overriden, with architectural the hidden lines are overriden.
It seems quite strange to me.
