OBJECT STYLE AND VISIBILITY GRAPHICS

Hey everybody,

What is the difference between the object style and visibility graphics overrides ? Both them are looking serving same . But I am not sure it is clear for me. If I wanna change my line colour of my wall , what would be the difference between them?

Also, I have a problem of the visiblity of the section. Although it can be seen here , When I export it to Autocad , I am not able to see it or it is like not the scale that we are seeing right now. It has so many dash and dot so ıt looks basically a line. But I want it to be as the standard section line .Thank you..

YOURS.

Object Styles are the Project level settings. Visibility graphics are View level settings. If Visibility graphics for a view is not overridden then they are the same as Object styles.

Ohh I see. While the object style is related to the whole project , visibility graphics focuses on the view of the level . right?

When I say level I do not mean building level, sorry for the confusion.  Visibility Graphics are per view, any kind of view; plan, ceiling, elevation, section, detail, etc...  You can have ten views with ten different visibility graphics overrides in your project, but you only have one Object styles for your project.

How does the section line look in Revit?

The first picture that I uploaded is from revit. Maybe there is a misunderstanding because I tried to make export process from revit to autocad perfect I made the background of revit as black and autocad the black. So, you can have a look at the first picture.

Gotcha. If you export Sheets from Revit to CAD, go to DWG/DXF Export Setup > Lines tab > and set linetype scale to Paperspace (PSLTSCALE = 1).

Check your annotation export settings....they may be exporting as black, thus they are there, but camouflaged.

My problems are that:

I can not see my section line on Autocad but I can see it on Revit.

The grid line on autocad have a problem of scale . For example If I change linetype scale from 1 to 15 on Autocad ıt works fine just like Revit looking.

It is interesting that pdf file works fine. Everything is just what I wanted it to be.
