Number parameters not working on schedules

Hello, everybody:

I am creating a take-off schedule of concrete elements. The schedule works fine calculating the total cubic meters of every type of concrete. But I want to add a field that use a number parameter to calculate, e.g., the quantity of sand use in all the project.

Let's say, that I have three types of concrete, one has a 40% of sand, another has 50%, and the last one 60%. So, I create this field named "Sand" and beside every type of concrete I put the respective percentage of sand.

(I will later create another field to calculate the cubic meters of sand.)

Here is the problem: Everything goes fine until I assign a type of concrete to the stairs. As soon I do that the Field "Sand" is blocked (only for that type of concrete) and I can not put the percentages.

I tried this in Revit 2020 and worked even including the stairs, but in Revit 2023 is impossible.

I will appreciate your help with this issue.

(I am attaching a copy of the revit file and two images. In the revit file the stair has no material assigned.)

Hola,

As I noticed is a "Structural Foundation" Schedule for Phase "Phase 3".

But the stair is in "Stairs" Category in phase "Escalera"

Maybe here is the problem. As you create the schedule you have to choose the right phase.

Thank very much for your answer.

Even if I change the stair to "Phase 3" always happens the same thing: The field do not works.

After changing the Phase of the stair I created a new schedule (like the other one but from scratch) but it did not work neither.

UPDATE: (See attached image) I added two fields to the schedules: Comments and Type Comments, in order to identify the components of the stair, and I found that the Landing and the Runs do not allow to fill the field "Sand" but the Stair, as a whole, do allow it.

That would be OK but the quantity of concrete of Landing and Runs are summed up in the totals, e.i., I have the cubic meters of the stair (2.96 m3) *plus* the cubic meters of the landind and the runs (0.70 m3 + 1.11 m3 + 1.15 m3)

UPDATE 2: I can deal with the duplication of quantities. But the Slab Edge have the same problem of the Stairs and I can not solve it using the trick of Comments and Type Comments fields.

Hola @agorritmia ,

You can edit the parameter "Sand(%)" and check the Slab Edges, Landings, Runs, and other subcategories that you like.
