Hi everyone.
I would like to import some 3D geometry from Autocad file (contain only line elements) to Revit and make some work on masses. Of course in need to snap to that imported file.
Unfortunately something going wrong and I am not able to snap to imported lines in some places.
When I use "Query" option after selecting DWG file, single marked lines looks like polilines, not lines.
And I think that is the problem (I am able to snap only to start point or end point, not the intermediate ones).
Autocad file was purged and audited.
Also tried to save file as dxf (result is the same).
In Revit CAD linking or CAD importing give the same effect.
Any solution?

To be precise.
I'd like to use 3D view, insert In-place Mass, (checked option for 3D snapping) and snap a mass line to DWG in given points, for example in that point:
As I mentioned before, when in the interesting node are located only some intermediete point of imported polilines (or what it is?) it's impossible to snap (as showed above).
But if only one single line in the node is detected by Revit as a single line (as it is in DWG file) so I can snap to the start/end point and everything is ok.
For example the very near node of the previous one... one of the truss diagonal is detected as simple line and I can snap to start or end of that line.
So please, could you confirm or not is it possible to snap (using mass in-place and 3D snapping) to the specific point (showed on first screenshot) ?
You would need to set Workplanes. You could get there with Grids. Are you using Grids?
Thank you, it works.
I tried it before (to set some grid and pick it as workplane) and it wasn't work in "In-Place Mass" but reason for that is I had checked option "3D snapping", right now I've unchecked "3D snapping" and it works.
