Not allowed to have 2 Dormers next to each other

We are designing a very basic plan and elevations for a residential house. We want to add dormers, in line with the fascia, that are relatively close to each other. I can create one but when creating the second dormer, I get error messages. First unjoin elements, then delete dimensions, then delete roof. I am using Slope Arrow in the Modify Roofs > Edit Footprint. Also using Revit 2019.2. See attached image.

Thanks in advance

I am sure it is a unique geometry issue to your specific condition.  Impossible to know exactly what might be the issue without extensive troubleshooting with your file.

I was able to get 2 dormers within 1' of each other with no issues.  I could actually get them a bit closer but I would get an extra line showing up on the main roof face below 1' apart, but it would still work. The only one that refused to make the roof was if the dormer  edges were actually touching.

If you can't get it with a sketch, you could try shape editing to get the roof you need, or do it with multiple roof elements.

Thank you for the reply. I was thinking of trying different roof units then joining.
