Nonrectangular Column Profile

Hello everyone

How ca I create  a custom, nonrectangular, structural, concrete column section in Revit?

Why not create that corner column with a Structural Wall?

Did it with model in place component.

Idk if it is a good practice.

The component is not recognized as a structural element and I couldn't use it for structural analysis. 

Is it possible to convert it (the model in place component) into a column element so it behaves like a column?

I am having hard time adding an instance parameter for similar column that would control the height of the column, so that the height would be determined by the top level in the properties panel.

Could someone help me please and tell me what I am doing wrong?

Why don't you just edit and modify the sketch boundary of the OOTB Concrete-Square-Column.rfa and then save it under a new name?
