No Structural columns

Hello,

Today, when I tried to work with Structural Concrete Columns, It says the folder is empty.

Last week, after I upgrades tp 2021, I didn't seem to have my Imperial Library.

Someone kindly suggested that I should uninstall the program and be sure I check Libraries.

I did that and things seemed to be more normal.

But today, no structural columns.

Before I uninstall and reinstall, can someone guide me as to what I should check off? Seems that there are things like "German ...." Etc.?

I live in Virginia USA and only draw using mostly American materials  CMUs for example

This seem to be occuring for 2021. I also run into the same issue. You may want to download the content from autodesk website and install it.

Thanks syman,

But when I try to DL *RVT2021_ENU_Imperial_Libraries.exe (exe – 1.3GB) by clicking on it, nothing familiar happens.

I did not see it in my downloads folder either.

Can you tell me what I am missing?

Shouldn't Autodesk have a phone line that people could get this help from ugg

Check and see if you have firewall or virus scanner that won't let you download EXE file. You may want to put Autodesk on the safe website.

Thanks again syman

I don't know anything about my firewall. I have never had any trouble DLing anything before.

I did uninstall my Malwarebytes.

All to no avail.

Seems Autodesk should be of help considering the amount of money we pay.

@glkirk : if all else fails, just open your 2020 Structural Columns in 2021 and save to 2021 Content Folder.

Right click on the *RVT2021_ENU_Imperial_Libraries.exe * link and "Save Link As".

OK Toan,

I did that and came up with this.

I really don't know very much about Google........

I guess I will reread what syman said about bringing it in from 2020..............

You came up with what?  Google, as evil as it is,  has nothing to do with any of this.

Going back to @barthbradley method. In the Open, you can right click on the shortcut and edit places

edit places.png

Here add this path C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\RVT 2020\Libraries\US Imperial

add place.png

You will see library 2020 in your shortcut

Just open the 2020 family in 2021.  Upgrade. No different than anything else.  Certainly you've used families from past version projects in newer version projects. We do all the time.  We don't recreate stuff we've already created.  I find and use families I created 10 years ago in current projects.
