Revit 2020 is no longer able to support dual monitor, or access the materials palette with my Thinkpad w520. the issue appears that Autodesk / Revit has 'blocked' compatibility of the Nvida Quadro 2000m graphics card . it further appears to be very specific in what it can not do. Is there a patch for this?, and the bigger question is... Why? why does this card no longer work?

Not sure why it does not work.

What happens when you try to run those versions, error messages?

Have you checked the journal file to see if problems are mentioned?

Have you checked that your computer fulfill the specs?

What else have you done (windows updates, grpahics card drivers etc).

Enough free space?

Emptied Temp folders

Switched of hardware acceleration?

thank you for your prompt response,

Not sure why it does not work.

What happens when you try to run those versions, error messages?

i i drag a window from Revit onto the dual screen it goes blank. if i try to open the materials palette..it wont. no error messages.

Have you checked the journal file to see if problems are mentioned?

the only work around i have found is to disable the graphics card from the device manager, under displays. this works temporally, but usually crashes in short order.

Have you checked that your computer fulfill the specs?

Thinkpad i7-2960XM CPU @ 2.70GHz. 16 gigs of ram. it was suggested i contact NVIDIA... they said 2019 Revit to present does not support the Nvidia Quadro 2000m, and that i should talk to Autodesk.

What else have you done (windows updates, grpahics card drivers etc).

i did a clean install of windows 10. i seem to recall that it was working when i was running windows 7 pro. but that was a ling time ago. i may be wrong about that. Graphics card driver is up to date. somebody mentioned installing an old version of the driver. unable to get this, and there is no rollback option.

Enough free space?

hard drive 500GB with 300GB free space. new install of Revit 2020. and 2021

Emptied Temp folders

empty

Switched of hardware acceleration?
