Hello everyone
I am trying to teach myself Revit from the ground up.
To bring you up to speed...
I can draw house plans on paper, and have used AutoCAD 2008, (although its very different), basically I have a fair understanding of what to do, I just need to learn Revit.
I have also a very good understanding of a building project as I have built my own house in South Africa.
so...
1. Where can I find more components, as I have just loaded Revit, and find that the student edition has very limited components to choose from, for example, I cannot find a Garage Door.
2. I live in Swindon, and I would very much like to do a course to show me the basics, where I can ask someone as I learn.
Thanking you for any advise in advance.

For families i use;
https://www.nationalbimlibrary.com/
and as a very last resort https://www.revitcity.com/downloads.php
Failing that, its good to know how to make your own families because often you cant find exactly what you want.
1-Mainly you can use https://bimobject.com/
it's the best online library.
also there is revit city.
Another solution is just searching google by writting the name of family followed by .rfa
2- you can ask whatever you want here through the community or AUGI. Everybody will be pleased to help.
if you want a location like training center, better to search for Authorized Autodesk training centers.
