New Material Button Not Working

The "new material" button and the button to the left of it aren't working on my Materials Pallet. In the screenshot below, the buttons are these:

• the grey globe with the plus sign
• the folder with the wrench.

Also, right-clicking in the materials area to bring up "create new material" does not work.

I'm running Revit through Parallels on a Mac. I'm hoping that's not the issue, and I'm hoping I don't have to reinstall Revit. I've quit Revit and restarted to see if that would work. It didn't.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Click the arrow on the Globe icon should show the option to create a New material.

The folder with a wrench is NOT for creating new materials, but Material Library.

Right click an existing material should allow you to Duplicate the material, but not create a New one from scratch.

They work fine at my end.

• Do you have the latest updates installed?
• do you have anything which may be pblocking popup menus
• graphics res and scaling on screen are as recommended?
• disable the use of Hardware acceleration
