As part of Revit 2024.2, we have released the New Revit Home (Tech Preview) as a complete overhaul of the Revit Home experience. This update enables new capabilities such as search, filtering, pinning, and flexibility between grid and list view. The goal behind these changes is to make it easier and more efficient for you to locate, access, and work with your Revit data.
Additionally, we have taken into account the feedback we received regarding the lack of visibility to all Revit projects and versions in Revit Home. To address this pain-point, we have implemented "Project Visibility." This feature allows cloud projects from all Revit versions to be visible in Revit Home, providing full transparency to the cloud projects that a user has access to.
With this enhancement, we understand the importance of having complete transparency to the various cloud project versions a user can access. This will reduce user confusion and align the experience between Revit and ACC & B360. When "Project Visibility" is enabled, projects that are not aligned with the current Revit version will be greyed out and feature a tooltip indicating the associated Revit version. This ensures full transparency while eliminating the risk of inadvertently upgrading a project.
How to get started?
To take advantage of this new feature, please ensure that you have activated the toggle to use the New Revit Home (Tech Preview) located in the lower left corner of Revit Home. Once activated, navigate to File -> Options -> Cloud Model -> Project visibility and check the box that says "Show projects in all Revit software versions at New Revit Home".
We hope you find this new feature valuable and that it enhances your Revit experience by providing increased visibility over all your Revit data.
