New Construction Window Infills Showing in Existing Phase

I’m working in Revit 2019. I have an existing building where we are replacing a lot of windows along the external walls. I have my existing windows created in the Existing phase and demolished in New Construction. Then I place my new windows in the New Construction phase, some are different sizes or moving slightly so there are some wall infills and new openings that Revit is automatically creating for me. I put my new windows in and everything looks OK until I check back on my existing phase drawings and notice that a load of my new wall infills are showing up and blocking out the windows.

There doesn’t appear to be any reason for it because if I select the existing window, ‘pick new host’ and replace it in the same wall, the problem goes away. So I have a method for fixing it but it’s not an efficient or sustainable one. I’m working with around 50 windows and every time I do some work on my proposed design like move some windows around, my existing drawings go to sh1t and I’m left with a big clean-up operation. I can’t see that I’m doing anything wrong procedurally so this is surely a bug with the software?

Anybody else encountered this or have any suggestions? Thanks

Are your Windows using Openings or Void Cuts?

I am using regular Revit 2022, not revit LT.
