Nested Family only show in selected schedule, not in all schedule

Hi,

Is there any ideas how to make the nested family appear only at 1 schedule and not at all others schedule?

The idea is, I have a family that contain a few of other families in it. I want to show all the description, cost, size etc of the sub families (families that in the main family) in the project schedule. When I tick Shared in the sub families, all the sub families will appear in all my schedule. I just want 1 schedule that show up the details of the sub families.

Is this possible to do?

the trick with schedules is mainly with filter. you must find a parameter that could filter out what you dont need. ex : maybe use nested as a "comments" parameter for the nested family and filter by this parameter in you schedule.

I tried create a new parameter and load to host family then load in the project but the nested families is still appear in main schedule (I don't want the new parameter shown in this schedule).

You can use a parameter to filter in the schedule and hide the parameter too.

Nested Families are showing in Project Schedule because they are Shared Families. You know that; right?

yes even I filter out the parameter that I don't want it appear in main schedule, the blank row which refer to nested families is still there.

yes I know. Is there a trick to hide some parameter on the nested families from the project schedule?

You can filter the nested family out of the schedule. Does that work? Or do you mean you want to hide some parameter fields entirely? If so, go to the Format Tab, select the parameter fields and check "Hidden Field".

Thank you for the idea but if I tick "Hidden Field" it will hide the entire column (parameter). What I did was I Filter the parameter and choose 'has a value'. This can hide entire row (include nested family) that has no value in the filtered parameter.
