Need ~urgent~help! Conceptual massing question....

Ok so im building a cultural center and the roof its gonna be made of different triangles on different levels. Im using a grid made of reference lines to put poins and connect them trough splines and then host the lines on each other so everything will move together. It worked well on the first ones but now when i try to change the host of the last point to the model line its not working because its "moving" while im moving the point to select the host(i will add some images because i think i didnt explained right hehehe)

Tahts what happens when i try to select th host for the point. It was supposed to connect on the black model line that moved together 😕
