Need some metallic perforated panels

I’m in the middle of the process of learning revit. It is supposed to be the right tool for my project. I am a student of architecture. I would like to build a model with some metallic perforated panels. Can I create the entire envelope of the building and the roof with the metallic panels in different shapes.? Some of those will be like wavy shapes. Some rounded. I would like to make some “deconstructivism style” building.

How can I do that?

Thanks

… hi @Anonymous

panel curtain wall.jpg

… to make something like that ...

…. you can use curtain walls for everything...

… but using mass it is better and faster for irregular shapes

… follow this video

create mass freeform revit

… after this you will be able to do those curtain walls for everything (roof, elevation, floor,etc..)

… to learn more and fast you can watch and practice the entire RAC 2011 tutorials on youtube

… those are great ! ... go and follow the entire series tutorial ... you'll see

But he doesn’t explain how to make the specific system panel that you need to get the design complete.

Can you please explain how to do the panel?

Thanks again.

… hi @Anonymous

… next time ask the question here, not through personal messages …

… open a new architectural project

… in the project browser go to families

…. curtain panels …. system panelopen solid (click it twice)

… duplicate and rename it as perforated

… click ok

Screenshot (28).png

… change the value in constrains and dimensions as showed

…. click at the end of materials to open the settings

… click ok

Screenshot (29).png

… material browser

… create new material – perforated panel

…. In asset browser chose the material

… metal … stainless satin

… check cutouts

… and chose as an image in mats

…. metals.ornament metals. plate.mesh.cutout

… click open

Screenshot (30).png

… click twice on the image to open the settings

… in texture editor

… brightness to 85

… scale 2000 x 2000 mm

… click done … and ok

Screenshot (31).png

… repeat almost the same process to create a curtain system

Screenshot (33).png

…. change the settings as in the picture

Screenshot (34).jpg

…. now you have a metallic perforated panel to use as curtain wall

… to get included into the previous video
