Need Help with recycled project File & moving levels & topography

Hi Guys, I’m an advanced learner so be gentle.

I need help with moving recycled project files up and down to achieve the correct ground floor levels, correct spot elevations and topography points.

I’ve been playing around with the Project Base Point, internal origin and the Survey points but I can not achieve what I want. I can move the project to the correct ground floor level, but the topography will not move up or down to the new level points I need.

Backstory =  I have 9 projects at hand, and I want to recycle the project files to save time and costs. Each project is at different levels, including the topography.

Project 1 - Has a Ground Floor Level at RL 28.500, Topography points outside is RL 28.00 – This project is completed and client has approved, I have been paid. / I now start project 2.

Project 2 – Is a recycled file in which I have used Project 1. Now Project 2 needs to have a Ground Floor Level at RL70.50 and the topography needs to be at RL70.00

I’ve moved Project 2 up (via Position, Relocate Project)  to RL70.50 and achieved the new Ground Floor level of RL70.50, but my topography remains at RL28.00 Topography will not move up with the project.

I know the project base points, project survey points and internal origin control all these levels, but I cant seem to get the right combination to achieve the Project 2 Ground floor and topography to show me the new levels and topo points.

Can someone give me a hand in explaining how to go about achieving what I want? Thank you.

Please ignore my username, I've changed it in the profile section but this forum for some reason does not change it in my post.

Go to elevation and drag/move the Toposurface up/down. Easy, breezy.

I wish it was that easy. First thing I did was this but what happens is the topography is referencing it's points off the "internal origin point", not the "project base point". It gives you the original project 1 point levels on the topo.

If the topo referenced off the Project Base Point (same as the ground floor level line), my problem would be solved.

Forget what the Points read in Toposurface Sketch Mode. They are unimportant.  Those Points are relative to the Internal Origin no matter.

...think of it this way: do you care what the elevation was of the sketch that you drew to create the extrusion for your desk top in your Desk Family?  That make sense?
