Hi there I'm new in Revit an I have a problem.
I'm trying to put light fixture on a diagonal ceiling, the problem is that the simbol disappear on floor plan over view, and it's not a view range broblem.
Thanks in advance

It sounds like you are using a 2D representation of the light as a symbol. This symbol needs to be parallel to the view. The way to do this is not simple, especially if you need to account for many angles. The easy solution is to make the light parallel to the view. The hack solution would be to hide the light and draw the symbol separate from the light. The best solution is to account for the angle(s) in the family which can get quite complicated, especially for someone new to family creation.
How would you like to proceed?
You mean a sloped ceiling? And what do you mean "the problem is that the simbol disappear on floor plan over view"? That doesn't compute. Maybe pictures would help.
The annotation symbol you have in a family only works when it is horizontal. So if you slope the fixture, it isn't visible.
I don't use symbols (a fixture would get a tag, and is just a modeled fixture). But I use a black dot to indicate emergency fixtures. In the few cases i have an emergency fixture on a slope, i "hack" it with an annotation in the model. Not a great solution an dot practical for all fixtures.
Let us know if you find a solution since that may help with my emergency light dot. Next time I have such case, I play a bit with it.
Some ideas would be to use model-lines for the symbol. But that maybe hidden by the actual fixture, or visible in sections. Just an idea to start.
The solution is to host the annotation symbol to a reference plane that can be rotated. It's actually fairly simple to assign one slope but gets complicated quite quickly as you add flexibility to the family.
I would like to know how to do the second option you mentioned, I'm already doing the "hack" solution
Hi, this is what i meant.
