Hi All,
This sweep with segments in the new 2024 template blew me away. I can't figure out how it's done. The sweep curve is a simple arc and trajectory segmentation isn't involved. The profile has some tricky stuff going on that I don't understand...there is a parameter "0" that seems to have no effect on the shape of the profile, so I'm mystified.
Does anyone know what's going on?

The family is attached. I don't need it segmented. I just want to understand what they did to get the segmented pattern lines. I'm thinking they've done something that somehow affects the material pattern.
It's not quite that simple. How do you get the pattern lines to radiate like that? It's not normal (to me). When I apply the same material to a similar arch sweep shape I just get parallel lines...like I always have....for decades.

Actually it is that simple. Edit the sweep and look at the profile you will see it is has a slanted edge, and that make the pattern radiated. if you straighten it up like the one you show then the pattern will not radiated.
And it is the same way since forever.

No different than any other version of Revit. Here's the same thing done in 2023.
