After having difficulty downloading the student software, i finally managed to get Revit 2019. However, the drawing area is always white and doesn't show anything, from drawing walls to loading the templates. I've checked the visibility graphics and filters too, nothing there suggests the cause of my issue. Should I reinstall the software or is there something I'm missing?

Very Strange. Do you see any of the interface (e.g. Browser, Properties, Tabs, etc.)?
Yeah the interface is there however, the viewing cube on the drawing area isn't there. I think the walls are being drawn, as I get a dialogue box alerting me that the walls overlap, however I cant see anything within the drawing area regardless the view.
Second; check these settings (Plan View). However, this wouldn't explain nothing showing in 3D.
Cheers for the response. After trying out the suggestions, the problem still persists. Regardless of the view, I just simply cannot see what's within the drawing area. Its very frustrating, is there any other suggestion ?

Let's confirm what's happening: You open a brand spanking new RVT project from a template, Right? Which Template?
Then you draw walls on Level 1 and nothing shows -- no walls in any views; Right? What kind of Walls; Structural or Architectural?
For example I open Revit, of which I close a dialogue stating that my Default template family file is invalid. Then I'd open Sample Architecture project or a new project, of which on no views is the project visible. On the new project I've been attempting to draw architectural walls into the floor plan 1, of which nothing appears.
Can you download and open the attached project see if you see anything?
I think it's plainly a bad install. I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling. In fact, take the time to do a CLEAN UNINSTALL. And make sure you reboot in-between.
...and temporarily disable Anti-Virus!

Yeah no disrespect but I don't feel comfortable downloading files from a stranger sorry. Yeah I feel like that's probably the cause and solution. What's a clean uninstall btw ? Thanks for your help anyways ![]()
It's not a file; it's a link, dude. A link to the Clean Uninstall Instructions.
...and no disrespect to you Michael, but I suggest you get comfortable with downloading files if you want to learn/utilize Revit. There is a world of good information and content available to you through the world wide web that you'll miss out on otherwise. Trust your anti-virus software. It's got your back. ![]()
Actually, @michaelwitherwick; we're all 400 lb. teenage Russian hackers. What's your voter registration password, by the way?
Kidding.
300 lbs.
