My custom door family only works in a range of dimensions.

Hi,

I have created some custom door families, they have different detail levels, dimensions of the leaves and fixed over panels can be modified through parameters etc. and everything works fine, but I realized when I try to exceed some specific limits, my constraints becomes invalid. I can understand it is logical if I try to decrease the width of a door more than I should, because there are leaves etc. But I can not understand why I am not able to increase the width after a limit.

I am attaching an example custom family. what I found I can not go further that limit of 2400 mm for width. do you have any ideas?

There are many errors so diffucult to pin it down.

What I see is that there are many constraints going from geometry to geometry. It is advised to constrain reference lines or planes (creating a frameweork) and then constrain the geometry to those reference lines/planes.

If the family is getting to complicated with lots of constraints and reference planes then you might consider making use of nested elements.

I'm finding numerous issues related with the way the Symbolic Linework is constrained and driven. Delete all the Symbolic Linework and the Family seems to flex fine in the Project.

Thank you for your replies. I removed constraints, unlocked all alignments. Then scaled leaf sizes as much as i need, re-created constraints and alignment lockings. now my upper limit increased to new dimensions. thank you again for your help.
