Multiple Views Active on Same Sheet Simultaneously

Anyone who remembers working in cad would argue having all your window/door details, or interior elevations in one file, or 'window' was so much easier for coordination/copying components/text around. The closest we come in Revit is sheets, where I can place 9 or 12 window details on one sheet.

In order to copy a detail component or text from one detail to another takes double clicking to activate view 'A', copying desired elements, double clicking out of view 'A' to deactivate view, then double clicking into view 'B' before pasting desired elements.

After having done that possibly thousands of times, I'm double clicked out and am dreaming of a way Autodesk could implement a way to highlight and make active simultaneously multiple views on a sheet. I do realize this is much more useful in a drafting view scenario, so even allowing this only for drafting views would be great.

Here's to hoping I'm not the only one! 🍻🙌

Instead of editing on the sheet, you could simply expand the sheet to see all views on it, open the 2 Drafting views you need side by side and copy from 1 into the other!!

It has to be 2 active views on one sheet or its a crises?

While I appreciate your reply, I almost always work in full screen mode, and choose not to waste time rearranging sets of windows to work as stated in my original post. I am simply saying, once I've got not 2, but 12 views of details on a sheet, it would be awesome to work on that sheet in the same way, as you put it, as if I take the time to open all 12 views and arrange them on my screen.

I am only putting an idea out there to see if it gets any traction, so I don't appreciate your condescending and unwarranted quip about it being a crisis.

I don't know, it still doesn't make much sense to me. You do not need to rearrange any pre-set view windows on your screen. Everything stays as it is on the main Window screen (in Revit) ..You can assign the active TAB of the required Drafting View to a different Display (either Virtual or Physical) either manually or using Keyboard shortcuts.

You can split your screen(s) to 10 panels and assign a view tab to each!!! If you can already have as many active views as you wish, what is the point of having just 2 active on a sheet!
