multiple design options

I have a building with 4 design options.  I want to accept the 2 facades from Design Option A to Design Option D.   Then "D" will become the primary option.

I've tried this...

  1. deleteing the entire facade from D that I want to bring from A.  There's nothing in left of any kind of facades n Alt "D".   https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1XO3_6DxtvjOCaVHi71sPBTfbzTt3epOq/view?usp=driv...
  2. display the main model and deselect "exclude options"
  3. select the entire facade   https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1zAY14J49JRb_N9tBzmCWFrx4KXMgFFkZ/view?usp=driv...
  4. which brings up this window... https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1nVeL9R-d00__qhjpVQ1sazSgH0ZOohHc/view?usp=driv...
  5. fails... brings up this error warning.  https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1Rp7X5eOZbwA3-Gsh4aZ2gdSbkhgjly9P/view?usp=driv...

What am I doing wrong?  What is the best strategy?

Tried Copying and Pasting one DO into the other yet?

...That's how it's done.

Excellent - thank you.

I noticed something in doing so this, that may have been the root of my problem:  in the inevitable error messages that come up when moving things between design options (or when working with design options in general) when expanding the error, you can check mark the warnings and Revit will let you proceed.  https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1CXW4U531_JW-3c7UrDmsldpUW9TV_5i4/view?usp=driv...

Keep in mind that Accept Primary only works for keeping the ONE final Option.  Can't use it when you still want to keep more than one.

i am back to this same problem.   Importing a facade.  I want to import the facade from Alt-1 to alt-4.  the options exist in Atl-1.

this video is probably the easiest way to understand my question that has me baffled. ...  https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1vJPWB8Uk_vd_pTo233G14kYLexBau5f5/view?usp=driv...

  1. I have deleted the entire facade from alt-4.
  2. I make alt-1 the "primary option".
  3. i display the "main model".
  4. I deleselect "exclude options"
  5. no matter what I pick of an element from alt-1 (and the info pop-out tells me its in alt-1) from the facade that exists in alt-1 and NOT in alt-4 and select just to put it in alt-4 (where it does NOT exist
    1. https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/10GtUAz9I_mt3b-WpL-V4MA9en3Dvg4oe/view?usp=driv...   ....
  6. the error message tells me I can't put it there.
