Hi everyone,
I'm new to Revit, as well to this community and English is also not my first language so please bare with me.
I need some help with a problem I'm having with my university work.
I have created a hexagonal pattern based curtain wall family. It's a hexagonal shaped glass panel with round, steel mullion around it and a same shaped steel mesh panel front of it. I applied this hexagonal combo to a conceptual mass.
So far so good!
However I'd like use two different coloured mesh panels front of the curtain wall. I'd like to divide the curtain wall into two parts with a line that runs along the pattern and use different coloured mesh panels on each half. Something like this:
My problem is that once I applied the hexagonal pattern on the mass surface I can't pick the panel. I drew a line along the patterns and so I created two parts that fit together (see the figures) but then both parts calculate the pattern in a different angle and from a different point and the pattern breaks up.
Please, could someone help me to fix this problem? I'm really-really desperate; I tried everything, looked up a tons of video's on YouTube, a researched but so far I couldn't find/get a solution and I start to running out of time.

Well I tried that... actually that was my first try. But I can't tab the induvidual panels. Please see the my files:
