What is the current solution, pls? Seems Revit server(if it is still current) needs to work within a WAN, which makes it hard for contractors outside of the company.
BIM 360 is new and does it support any concurrent editing?
Thanks.

-If you are using Revit up to 2018, you can use C4R ( Collaboration for Revit ) which is a cloud based worksharing solution from Autodesk. It requires licenses/subscriptions for all users.
-Revit 2019 uses BIM 360 Design--which is really just C4R, with additional BIM 360 ability, as I understand it.
( We have not adopted Revit 2019 yet.)
- I'm not sure about Revit Server's current availability. It does require a WAN
and considerable IT infrastructure/setup at each remote office.
Thank you cbcarch! To dig deeper, I reckon users need to be mindful not to touch the same part of a model at the same time, or Revit/BIM360 have a way to handle this kind of clash?
Thanks.

Yep...split up your team to be working on different aspects of the model. Usually one person gets all the walls, doors and windows in place then throws it to the team for further detailing and view setups. Larger projects you can split to different areas/floors.
BIM 360 is the same as Revit Server, just in the cloud....and you have to have a separate license to use it.
-Create/Use Worksets to divide up the model elements such as Exterior Shell ( Walls, Curtainwalls, Roof, etc.)
Interior elements ( walls, doors, casework, etc.)
-Users who edit these elements "borrow or own" the workset, so other users cannot edit at the same time.
-Users Synch to Central to save their edits to these elements back to the central file from their local files.
