How do you make a multi level room/space where the room has a different footprint on the second level. For example, a large room where only a portion of it is open to the level above.

Thank you but that only fixed part of my problem. What should I do in the opposite situation where the upper floor print is larger than the lower. For example, a warehouse with an office occupying part of the main floor and has a mezzanine on top of it. Is there a way to make the Mezzanine part of the same room as the rest of the warehouse?
Same deal. If the lower footprint is bigger then place the room in the lower level, go to the section and stretch the room's top grip up. If the upper footprint is bigger then place the room in the upper level, go to the section and stretch the room's bottom grip down. Results below:
Hi @ToanDN I'm hoping you can expand on this a little bit. I am also working on multi-level room, except the room is a little more complicated in section. I have raised the room's top grip up from the basement but it doesn't "flood" into the rest of the room above, see screenshot. I made sure the wall at the first floor opening is not room bounding but nothing changes.
Is there a way to have the room go beyond just the opening footprint?

The Floor in your pictures is also room bounding and that will not allow the room to fill that area marked in the blue on your second image. Try taking room bounding off the floor in that section. You may have to make that area with a floor that is only in the area of that room.
Hope that helps.
