Hello!
Is there any way to take advantage of multi-core calculation (model regeneration) in revit? I have a bunch of complex models with nested families inside. I want to be able to regenerate the models using few global parameters. However, even if main models are not connected to each other, nor constrained to each other, revit calculates one after another using single core, which takes ages. I tried changing model categories thinking revit will perform calculation for different categories on different cores, which is not true. Linking, or using worksets is not an option and would probably not work either. Any suggestions? How can I make revit use multi-core for regeneration?

Multi-core processing is an old request and the development team already explained in many occasions (some of them at YouTube lives) that it does not work, as some calculations cannot be done simultaneously. Ex: Revit must first calculate the wall in which a door is hosted, so on and so forth.
There's a public road map at Autodesk blog where you can track what's going on for future improvements. Faster processing is a goal, but it takes time. Meanwhile all that's left for us users is focus on better modeling practices and workflows to leverage our processing power.
