multi category tag 2022 question

Hello all, just downloaded 2022 so pumped for the features this time around!

I am a big fan of multi category tags (basically use them for everything) but the first thing i noticed was that i can no longer tag my columns (arch). i thought for sure it was because i made my own columns ( many years ago) and something changed in 22 but i cant tag any (arch) column? works great in 2019?

columns are made with extrusions

tag is a multi category tag that reports the 'description' parameter (the one built into the families)

up until now I was only sad that i could not tag elements like 'Fascia' (i use a material tag.. but it feels like a such a dirty way to use the material tag... ps love the material tag too)

anyways.. any help is appreciated!, (also hope its real simple and i am just missing something) thanks

@Anonymous

As far as I know they extended the functionality of multi-category tagging ...not reduced. I for sure can still tag Structural columns families with it

What category is that family?  would you like to upload it?

There is no such thing as Column Tag in Revit 2022 so that explains why your multi-category tag doesn't pick up Architectural Columns.  You could Create Parts from those columns and tag them with a Multi-category tag, though.

There was no Column tag in previous versions too...that's why Architectural columns were tagged using the Multi-category. Now it doesn't even picks it all or prompt at least prompt wrong family!

It is weird though that the  multi-category schedule still picks up Arch Columns in 2022 so there is no reason that justifies why it got excluded from the MC Tag... @Anonymous You can change its category for the time being, most probably they will fix in the upcoming update
