I just did this. Modeled a wood storefront system with aluminum exterior caps. Black seal is modeled into the panels. Used 2 curtain walls. First one creates the wood mullions and the panels. After it's fine-tuned, Copy and Paste in Same Place, change type to the wall family that creates the cap mullions. Just need to be disciplined when selecting, dimensioning, etc.
