Moving view crop ungroups detail groups

For some reason, when I modify the crop region of a view, it breaks a detail group that I have in this view. This happens on some views only, not all. And for the views where it does happen, it happens consistently. But in those views, it also doesn't break all detail groups, just some. The same detail group placed in other views behaves fine. The detail group has no constraints to model geometry. I can't seem to figure out why it behaves this way.. Any ideas?

Having exactly the same issue, very frustrating. I've tried ungrouping and re-grouping but it doesn't help.

Having the same issue here with Revit 2020 (can't recall encountering this issue before).  When attempting to adjust the view's crop region (either manually or with the boundary editing command) an error "Fix Groups" message is generated indicating that certain detail groups within the view will be either ungrouped or need to be duplicated.  The issue doesn't seem to occur with any consistency and doesn't seem to be related to a particular detail item within the group.  So far, when the issue has occurred the low-level workaround has been to copy (CTRL-C) the view's detail groups, then delete the view's detail groups from the view to allow the crop region to be adjusted with the error, then paste-in-place the copied content after adjusting the crop region....PITA.

What works for now is cutting the group (ctrl+x), then drag the crop, and then paste the group aligned where it was.

Hi.

I have come here looking fot the same answer, just to realize there's no answer. :enttäuschtes_Gesicht:

Yet, I did a few trial and error, and seem to have found what's causing the problem. Apparently you can't use constrains inside the group or you'll get this bug.

I managed to fix it by removing all constrains from my group. Hope it helps you all as well. :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Cheers

Hi,

A solution is to move the detail group away from its original position and then move it back.

After doing this, you can edit the crop without the detail group changing.

What i do is select the detail group, move it away by pressing the arrow key once (any direction) and then the opposite direction. Basically moving it back and forth.

This is for Revit 2022.1 FYI.

Hope this helps.
