Moving Elevation Tag is Linked Between Views

When did all View Elevation Tags become linked together so you can't move them independently between views? I have read everyone's answers that you just have to pick the box and not the view controller, i.e. the arrow or line, so you are just moving the the tag in the plan view, and this used to work. Why does it not now. The solution of creating dummy or an independent reference tag for each view is no the answer. This didn't used to be a thing. What happened and is there a true solution for it and not just a "work around"?

When?  It has always been like that.

I am having the same issue. I need to be able to adjust the location of the tag symbol independently on two separate sheets so that they do not collide with graphics. Can anyone shed light on why this function as changed? It is a one of the many functions that has set Revit apart from CAD.

I am grabbed the circle portion and moved it and it changed on all my sheets. I understand that the triangle portion controls where the view is cut. It may work properly in 2024. Can you try it in 2025 and let me know if you are having this issue?

An elevation view annotation associated with a specific view is "shared" across all plans. You can create an Elevation view using Reference Other View to create a separate annotation that refers the reader to the actual elevation. Then use a Filter to hide elevations you don't want to see by naming those differently.
