Moving complete model horizontally away from origin point

I'm trying to move complete project (Model) away from origin point that is hidden.

I understand how to relocate project vertically....but is there any tips and tricks to move horizontally.

Manage>Project Location>Position>Relocate Project

You "move" the entire project graphically, in either X, Y or Z axis

I'm not understanding the point of moving the model away from the internal origin point (a.k.a. Project Base Point Startup Location).  Just curious.

Same here.  More often than not, relocating the Survey point or the unclipped Project Base Point would suffice.

The answer I was looking for was not a complete answer, however it is a good answer.  For some reason, it is not easy as it may sound.  It seems some groups, floors, room information, and levels do not move with it.  In regards with that, it becomes a several step process, and mistakes may occur.

Please describe in more detail what happens when trying this:

Manage>Project Location>Position>Relocate Project--then "move" the entire project horizontally.

This AKN information may help you as well.

What you are trying to do -- move your model away from the Internal Origin Point -- is near impossible. Why do you need to move it? Could you explain what you are trying to accomplish? Maybe we can provide another method.

May we know the reason you need to move in the first place?  There maybe different answers depend on it.

I'm working on a site....Site contains Hundreds of buildings.  I'm creating a map-book within Revit. Map-book contains

A Grid System with coordinates, Topo and Imagery, Utilities and Buildings (All Links).  The grid system/Topo/Imagery and Utilities all have the same Origin Point/and Project base point (In this case are the same).  So for example...If I was to start a new project using a template...I would link in my grid system (origin to origin), Link in my topography (origin to origin), Link in my imagery (origin to origin), and link in my underground utilites (origin to origin).  Okay, I'm ready to roll with a project....Now that all is set in place....I could also link in buildings....The problem here is that, some buildings were not modeled from the same origin point.  I'm trying to create of workflow, for any buildings modeled to have same origin point/project base point. (I also understand that using shared coordinates) may work better in this situation.  But it would be nice to know how to move complete building model.

Using shared coordinates may definitely work better better in this situation.  All individual buildings should be modeled right where the Model Origin/Project Base Point is and North Up.  Place them on the site model and now you can move and rotate in any direction then publish the shared coordinates back to the building models.  It is exactly like when you build containers to place in a container lot, you don't care how far a container from a corner of the lot or the angle relative to a particular side of the lot.  You only care about them when you set the containers on site.

Your statement above kind of stuck out to me. There is only one internal origin point in a project. Therefore, all the buildings within a single project share the same internal origin point.  What we are describing is placing and positioning an entire project inside another project (/coordinate system/zip code).
