Moving area boundaries with walls

What is the most optimized way to adjust the area boundaries according to the new walls in the design?

I have checked the box "moves with nearby items", but when I move a wall, the area boundary is not adjusted.

I'm looking for the most optimized way because I want to use the settings for all the future projects, so it is not just one project that I can adjust manually.

It depends on how you place them...they will move with the walls in the following cases

  1. When you create a new area plane and select to automatically associate and place the boundaries
    • Area_Boundaries.gif
  2. When You manually place the boundaries using Pick Lines Tool and either of the following options
    •  "Apply Area Rules"
    • "Move with nearby Elements"
    • Area_Boundaries 1.gif          Area_Boundaries 2.gif
  3. Note: If the boundary line has a free end (ie: it does not it meet and joins with the boundary line associated with the perpendicular wall, it will follow the wall it is associated to but will not extend when moving the lateral walls.
    • Area_Boundaries 3.gif

If the walls boundaries were not associated to walls, then you would need to lock them together.
