Move project to Revit Internal Origin

I've overtaken a project, which I did not set up. Normally a project would be startet with the intersection of grid A/1, Revit Internal Origin, Project Base Point and Survey point all placed on top of each other.
Is the only way to fix this to select EVERYTHING and manually move it to Revit Internal Origin?

You could simply reset the Coordinates back to 0,0,0

Click Manage tab Project Location panel Coordinates drop-down (Reset Shared Coordinates).

depending on what has moved in the file, you can also try the Relocate Project option. but try the Reset first 😊.

@jay_colcombe i was so happy when they added the Reset Shared Coordinates 😁. In the past i had a separate file with nothing in it but the coordinates SP, PBP & IO set at 0,0  with a big bullseye on it. I would link that in and acquire coordinates to fix issues, then require coordinates from a proper file as needed.

Unfortunately it is not enough to reset coordinates and such. I need to move everything in the model, including grids, to the Revit Internal Origin as shown in the image.

if that's the case, then try the Relocate Project to move the location as needed. you may still need to adjust the coordinates of the SP and PBP after.

I thought your initial question was how to get the Survey/Project Base Points back to the Internal Origin!

Relocate Project is probably the best way to go!

But you could of simply Reset Coordinate and just use the Move Tool to move the grids to 0,0,0

Why does it matter?  Serious question?  You haven't really stated an issue. Only that the PBP, SP and IO are positioned "incorrectly" in your opinion.

Good question. The engineers I am working with are afraid we will look into issues when creating and receiving IFCs when PBP, SP, IO and Grid A/1 in not placed on top of each other.

Are they assuming wrong?

Kind of.  That being said, don't worry about the location of the Internal Origin. It's out of your control anyways.  You can control location of PBP and SP though.

If you are hell-bent on having the Internal Origin at a different location, then Link the Project into a brand new Project, align it how you want to the Internal Origin of the new Project and then Bind/Ungroup Link.  Let the new Project replace the old.
