I started a project last spring prior to version 2020 which now displays the internal origin. That project may come back to life and I would like to move everything to a specific point that corresponds to the internal origin. The project elements are not voluminous at the moment, but far enough along that I wouldn’t want to move everything piecemeal.
I windowed everything, unclicked constrain, but can only move the elements vertically. What would be stopping horizontal movement please?

Did you notice if the Options Bar offered a check box for Constrain? Relationships between elements will affect the Move options. You can also try Disjoin assuming that appears next to Constrain.
As long as the model is not very far from the Project's Internal Origin you can just leave it alone. Revit only cares about the model being near the origin (technically not farther than 10 miles from it, which is pretty far away). Linking models using Origin to Origin is sufficient to ensure they are lined up to each other if you're dealing with several discipline models. If you need to relate it to a site DWG (survey) or export to Navisworks for collaboration then the Shared Coordinate system is designed to contend with that.
In a sense the Revit internal origin much like the World Coordinate System origin in AutoCAD. Many people completely ignore it and start drawing wherever they feel like it or where the Xref's they attach land. Other people make sure they start their project at the origin or in a specific quadrant relative to it. As long as a given project team is consistent for that project either approach works, no matter how crazy it might make the others.

Thank you! I'll play around with it, but understand it can be ignored in this case. Your reference to Autocad is pertinent though, as I always had 0,0 at a specific point in all my past Autocad projects.
you can use the Relocate Project tool to move the entire project to a new N/E location.

That does NOT move the project relative to the Internal Origin nor does it move the model closer/farther from the origin.

When operating in an OPEN BIM project, and exporting IFC , Archicad interpret the project internal origin as project base point. None of the options offered in the IFC export dialogue changes the game.
I don't understand why autodesk mess up the georeferencing that way.
Then, how can we move all objects , all the project in fact to internal origin, to match our IFC exports between platforms?
Simple, there is no way to accomplish that move.
If the Project base point change coordinates the relation with the internal origin keeps the differences.
Any help would be appreciated.
That move doesn't work, as the relation between internal origin and Project base point is kept.
