I have a model group consisting of 6 beams. Everytime I copy or mirror the objects, the phase changes to new construction from existing which is what the original model group is in. Is there a way to maintain the existing phase when copying the model group? If not, what is the most efficient way to change the phases of these newly copied or mirrored beams in the model group instead of having to go through every model group and editing the beam's phase?

Thanks in advance.

Copy the object in a view that is set to the phase you want the objects to be created in. New objects created in a view will have their Phase Created parameter value set to the same phase ase the views Phase parameter value.

@lkSQP9W

I agree that @juhani.alasalmi solution is the answer to your problem.

For groups that you have already created with incorrect phasing, I'm attaching a proof of concept dynamo script to automate changing all or some specific category of Revit family to the desired phase.

Hope this helps,

P.S. This script changes the demolished phase status to NEW CONSTRUCTION (in french "NOUVEAU") of all wall elements in all group instances of a selected model group in the Project.
