Monolithic stair - Step in soffit

Hi everyone

I am trying to model a monolithic concrete stair that has winder treads around the corners. In layout, the stairs look like this:

I have modeled it using a sketch and for the most part it look exactly like I intend. However, at the points where the inner radius starts, Revit automatically inserts either a horizontal or vertical step in the soffit. I would like the soffit to be smooth.

Here is a screenshot of the steps in the soffit:

Does anybody know why this is and how I can avoid this.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

This is just an issue with Revit. It is caused by the arc length of the 6 treads making up the winder portion is different than the length of 6 straight treads and thus the slope on the underside of the stairs is different along the path and doesn't meet smoothly at the transition.

Only way to fix this is to adjust the radius of the winders to make the arc length along the path equal to the straight length. You will still need to make sure the stairs meet code though so it may not be possible with your desired layout.

Thanks for taking the time to show this, but my issue is with a physical step in the soffit and not just lines at a change in slope.

Thanks for this explanation, it answers my question.
