Previously our plans were drafted in AutoCAD, which enabled us to cut-off all stairs at the 3rd step from the bottom on the base level view, and show all remaining steps with the same cut-off on the view for the level above. Now with Revit we need the view range to be from 0 to 1500mm in order to display most elements in our 2D plans, but that means that stairs will cut at 1.5m, overlapping with elements and tags in the spaces below them.
So what we need is to apply a different cut to stairs regardless of the cut in the main View Range.
I understand that, in theory, this could be somewhat resolved using Plan Regions, but in practice that's simply not practical, not least because of the time involved in modifying existing Plan Regions for the applicable area in order to make space for creating the stair specific Plan Regions.
Are there any other solutions to this problem?
