Modifying Door Profile to Create Custom Door

I am making a custom front door from a family I have found online. I am creating a new boarder around the entire door system. The problem I am having is that this new portion of the door is not in the cut profile for the door - it's still using the original profile. 

Objective: Create a custom door by modifying an existing door family

Issue: Changing the door profile to fit the new design.

From the image below you can see the door open in the family editor and the door inserted into a wall. You can see the blue highlighted area of the door loaded in the file but not cutting the wall properly.

my guess: the void in the family was not updated to match your new larger door.  see if you can find it in 3d, then adjust it.

There were about 3 voids in the family, so it took a bit to find it but that was the solution. Thanks.
