Hello everyone,

I'm having problem with modification on wall layers. When I unlock one side of the finish layer, lets say Finish 1, there is no problem with that I can off set layer from ground. However, when I try to unlock the bottom of the other side ( Finish 2) at first Revit gives error which I solved with opening the structure A.K.A wall layer too, sad news it now your ENTIRE WALL is unlocked so they come together while I was wanting somethink like below;

At this point I'm wondering why am I dealing with Revit and not going to work on with Archicad...

Unlock the Layers in the middle instead.

Create Parts. Activate Shape Handles and manually adjust.

Or, use ArchiCAD.  😉

....what about separate Wall Types?  Too difficult?  Yeah, maybe ArchiCAD is the best solution.  Good luck.

Several ways aside from what suggested:

- If you have three floors (structural floor to attach the core, an exterior finish floor, an interior finish floor), then you can attach the wall to all three.

- Use reveals

It is quite challenging software for beginners like me, a lot of people around me says that why am I trying to get on with Revit and not move to other softwares. However, with that answer I've got one more plus day to continue with Revit 🙂
