Hi all!
I just received a client Revit file. I've found that most beam elements doesn't seem to have been modeled as part of a family , but as a in situ -model. Here you can see the beam element:
I've tried to edit the family type, but it's not possible because it's modeled as "structural family-other".
¿Does there is any way to replace this family by other editabe family keeping the position? (I would not like to draw it again because it has a z offset from z start to finish of the beam.
Thank you!

Is it an In-Place Modeled Family? Regardless, there is obviously no Properties or intelligence built into the Family. If you can't edit them, it sounds like your only option is to replace them with Revit elements that you can manipulate -- or contact the Client and inform him of this limitation.
They are in place models so you cannot select them and replace with a structural framing family type then you will need to recreate them.
