Modeling along a curve - Filigree Inside a Dome

Hello,

I need to model filigree like the below picture.  Any ideas on how to accomplish this?  I don't need a beaded look but a smooth low rectangular profile will work.

1. create the Dome as Mass by revolve
2. create a new Family > Generic Model by Face and make an extrusion using 2d imported CAD file as base...
3. place the new created Family on Dome Face

be careful with the level of detail for the ornament , cause it will slow your computer....
