Model Orientation in Navisworks

Hi,

i have a project set-up using shared coordinates system on many models. The site in revit appears at project north which is great.

However when i export my models to Navisowrks using shared coordinates the rotation of the site is aligned to true north.

Is there a way i can use my shared coordinate system but have my models aligned correcly?

I have seen this happen before, and I believe the solution was to export the .nwc files with Revit set to "Internal".

If you have several Links you'll have to do this to all the files.

Perhaps there is a better solution out there--just remembering a past job where this worked for us.

the problem here is that not all models share the same Project Internal coordinates, hence the need for shared coordinates.

Is there any way around this other than manually rotating the models in Navisworks?

. . . I'm guessing this is still an issue?

Same issue here,
multiple Revit files with different origin's but all of them have the same shared site.
In Revit, the project base point (and in a way the origin as well) controls the orientation of the project north in relation to the true north. Exporting from Revit' origin results in wrong coordinates in Navisworks. Exporting from Revit' shared site results in a model where project north has changed to it's true north so the orientation in Navisworks is based on true north and not based on project north.

I have a need to orient my model (project north) in Navisworks as I can do in Revit (Project North in relation to True North) without changing it's coordinates.

This tip will changes the true north in relation to it's project north while i need to orient the project north in relation to true north. (see attachments)

Still no solution found for this problem?
I would be interested in a solution as I am facing the same problem

One solution would be "Units and Transform" in Navisworks. Keep using shared coordinates in Revit and when exporting to NWC. Once you append your file in Navisworks, right-click on the nwc and select "Units and Transform". Set the rotation value to 0. This should solve the alignment problem.
