hello I just want to add a model line to an elevation (simple i thought) but when i do it says i need to check my visibility settings. In the words of autodesk web help it just says click it. Do i have to set an override where i have highlighted to make model lines visible in view? seems complicated for something so simple.

They are already visible the way the VG shows. Since they are model lines,
if they are behind a wall, for example, they will not be visible.

ok i think i solved i think its a phasing issue again as its letting me do it in another view. Can i set the phasing of an item before i add it in? as this is something i have to to do alot is adjust the phase in another view for it to be visible in the one i want.

When you start draw the line, look at the subcategory, aka line type, and
see what it is. Now go back to the VG, expand the Lines category to see
all the subcategories, and see if the particular one is unchecked.

Ah okay. Any model elements including lines will be created under the phase
set to the current View.

True that. Or change the phase filter to Show All before draw and change
back to the original one after.
