Hello Everyone,
I am working with a historic building which has irregular shaped walls thickness. So I used the model-in-place tool to create my exterior walls. The problem is I am now having a hard time insert a curtain wall/window panel into that massing. It just floats in the wall and does not embed. If I use a standard door or window, that embeds but can't seem to get the unique arch window I created to embed. Please help

Hello @ahjorn
Thank you for your reply.
See attached Image.
The dark great element was create using Model-In-Place due the the irregular shape of the exterior walls.
But whenever I try to embed a custom arch window into the "Model-In-Place element which I did select to be in the walls family, my window will not embed and just floats inside. The light grey are standard wall that I'm using as a work around but I feel like there's a better way to do this.
you csn do it by using a Void while in Model in Place edit mode:

How about instead of modeling the wall as an in-place...use a system wall then model a void in-place to cut the irregular face of the wall? then the Curtain wall will get imbedded automatically...se GIFF below
